Registration process

Referral
First of all you need a referral from the general practitioner or another medical specialist for the "specialistische GGZ" which is the specialized mental healthcare in the Netherlands. Beware! At the moment we do not offer treatment for patients with primary personality-, neurocognitive- or addictive disorders.

Registration
The general practitioner or other medical specialist can send the referral through Zorgdomein or Zorgmail. After we have received the referral we will go through it, we strive to do this as soon as possible.

Informing
If it turns out that we can offer you the right care, we will inform you by e-mail and sms. If it turns out that we cannot offer you the right care, we will inform you by phone and provide feedback to the referrer.

Intake
The intake process starts with diagnostic consultations to further explore the complaints and determine together what treatment is most appropriate. It may happen that we cannot offer the right treatments. We will then jointly discuss the next steps, such as referring back to the general practitioner or sending a referral to a more fitting healthcare provider.

Treatment agreement
We enter into a treatment agreement that describes, among other things: the (presumed) diagnosis, treatment goals and request for help. This treatment agreement is signed by both parties.

Treatment
Now the treatment can start. The treatment can take place both in-person and online. In the beginning this will mainly be online until our clinic opens its own permanent physical location. The treatment can consist i.a. of psychotherapy, EMDR and pharmacotherapy.

End goal
The goal is that you no longer need us and that we can finish the treatment. We will discuss this with each other at all times. Finishing the treatment means that we transfer care to the general practitioner and stop treatment. It may also happen that you still need treatment elsewhere, but that we can no longer offer this. This may mean that we temporarily transfer care to the general practitioner or bridge the gap till the follow-up care starts.
